Naturally I understand that even addressing this question is likely to rapidly devolve into a "Wally/Donna" complaint thread, so right off the bat we'll address them, so that (in vain hope) no one else will need to do so. There have been many comments from the higher-ups regarding their future inclusion in the universe and justification for their absenteeism... as such, I'd like to avoid that conversation to focus on others that have escaped notice.

Now that we're over 6 months into the new universe and have had a little time for universe exploration and a handful of cameo inclusions, what major players have yet to take the stage? Who are some of the minor obscure characters that you are hoping will find a new place in the new world, and how do you see them? I'm always looking to add to my list, so please toss out those favorite gems of characters! Who knows, they might've already snuck their way into some unread pages!

(As a note, I've removed many characters from the aforementioned list because of their appearances; some others remain because their appearances are upcoming or were merely mentioned.)

Since around October of last year... The suggestion is that they will appear more in digital form than in print... no solicitations have been announced thusfar concerning the actual publications.

Responding to an out of thread comment, my list is also VERY lacking when it comes to Wildstorm characters... I was only peripherally involved with Wildstorm titles... I know the main players and events, but a lot of the characters are somewhat superficially imprinted upon my mind... please help me to identify the critical members that could be worthy of making appearances...

I have assumed for the time being that the basic elements of the New Gods are retained, including Darkseid's fathering of Orion as well as his adopted parenting of Kalibak... they haven't made appearances, but many of the Apokolips based New Gods have made appearances... some in Justice League, some elsewhere. Off the top of my head, Darkseid, Desaad, Mokkari, Steppenwolf and a few others have made it in... which reassures me that they do intend to retain the New Gods... perhaps in the suggested period when Darkseid shall make his return journey to Earth!

Does Vic really count? I mean he was dead pre-reboot and it didn't seem like their were any plans to bring him back at the time. I kinda find it unlikely that they'll bring him back.

For that matter, my list also includes several other previously deceased heroes (Ted Kord, Ralphy and Sue Dibny among them) that have not been mentioned as deceased... it isn't entirely certain that those characters will remain established as dead... particularly given all of their ties to some element of "Crisis" history that was erased... while Vic might be featured in the (godknowswhenit'llcomeout) upcoming Multiversity as has been suggested in the past, I'm not sure we can rule out his re-appearance in the New 52... there are others that have returned from death in the universal rebirth without excessive fanfare.

In Superboy #6, Kara Zor-El mentioned that Kryptonian clones tend to end up as mindless killing machines...I wonder if that might be foreshadowing a Bizarro appearance somehow.

I was most distressed though to find that Scandal will basically be replaced in the upcoming DC Universe Presents arc... granted, Savage could always have more than one daughter... but until I hear otherwise, I'll be slightly disheartned by the news.

I wish that were true, but I'm pretty sure she was referencing the Kryptonian clone wars that ravaged her home planet. It's a little known fact about Kryptonian history that they're apparently bringing back.

I did find it interesting that a page of #7 of Superboy's series, referencing an 'earlier' clone was also matched with the typical Bizarro discoloration... so perhaps not so gone after all? Perhaps they're additionally going to develop that the Kryptonian clone wars would've had some connection to the Bizarro malfunction? (Also, thanks to that same issue,

I have this horrible theory that Zealot and Tao aren't going to appear at all in the DCnU because the major facets of their character (greatest sword wielder in history + vocal manipulation) have been merged into Harry Tanner.

@Adnan: Miss Martian, along with Raven and a few others, appeared in a background panel of Teen Titans #1, in which Red Robin was sifting through information feeds on young metahuman activity... curiously, she was garbed in the fashion of her stealth gear from Young Justice (as some would point out, likely to try to capitalize on her depiction on the show).

Manhunter was also featured in a double page splash of Batwoman, albeit I believed seemingly being erased from existence due to a lightning storm effect (Flashpoint) along with several other prominent members tied to the pre-New 52 Gotham City...

Ralph and Sue?! Nah, Plastic Man!! I don't see him anywhere, and he used to be kinda popular. I heard he might be in JLI soon, do you know?

The entire Fourth World.

With Darkseid making his 'debut' in JLA, does this mean that the Fourth World is being rebooted entirely (like Superman), or the fact that since JLA was set five years in the past, and we're now in the present-day mean that it's only a partial reboot (like Batman).

In any event I'd like to know what the deal is with Orion, Scott Free, Barda, Kalibak, etc.

The Fourth World has been one of the most interesting aspects of the DCU for me through the years.
