    Slow burn 0

    I have never come across an issue like this in all my time of reading comics.  The story opens with Marks asking Duong how he came to be a Kit Carson Scout.  Thus far in the series the tone has been that of a slow burn, like something is being worn away by the passage of time, and the action of losing oneself in the war does not occur at one instance but rather every instant spent embroiled in conflict.  This story looks at the war from the perspective of one of the local peasants who has seen m...
