    In the eyes

It has been a while since I have reviewed one of these, and it is easy to forget how good this series can be. Here the story is being told by someone else than the usual (Doug Murray) as Chuck Dixon steps into the writer role. I don't know as much about Dixon's personal life, so i am not sure if he served any time in combat, but I asumed he hadn't so heading into this issue I thought maybe it would be a bit of a drop-off from the otherwise excellent stories thus far. In reality though Dixon has been one of my favourite writers in the past and it is easy to see why here. The issue I think captures the spirit of the series really well, in the same kind of heartbreaking manner as usual. The treatment that each story here gets (it is told in retrospective between numerous characters) is maybe a bit more superficial but I feel like it still gets the message across. Another issue in the very good to excellent category for this series. Also the cover is pretty haunting.
