This series gets serious again here, and when it gets serious it sure doesn't pull its punches.  As the team fights off the usual attacks from mortar fire this seems as though it is going to be a regular issue.  And really it is a regular issue (that is to say of a fairly high quality) as the squad moves from the town where they start to the mortar position to take out their attackers.  When they move on all is right, but when they come back all is not.  A different branch of the army has moved in and is blocking off access.  The reader should probably figure out what is going on from the cover, but for those that can't, it is better to wait for the inside.  Again as with every issue in this series, this is not an easy one to deal with in the sense that it challenges the morals of the reader and elicits an emotional response.  Quite good though and among the best in this series, which has had a lot of superlatives as it is.
