Blown away
This issue focuses primarily around the events of three of the soldiers going on leave, most importantly Lonnie who is going home soon and wants to see Saigon one more time. Despite being sort of removed from the war the trio end up in some less comfortable situations (though conversely the panel where it shows Marks on a bed with sheets was also well placed.) The group almost gets blown up twice and almost robbed and murdered, but it becomes clear that the world here is not the touch of the real world which they need to feel separated from battle. The moment at the end with the reporter was especially telling as the three regard their actions as something which is done for friends and not for honour or for a sense of heroism. This looks at a different side of war, but one which is also relevant and emotional.
