    Tales of the heart

With a changed approach the series produces a better issue than those which had preceded it.  Instead of looking at the matters of routine of the squad, the attention here is shifted to the hospital and the day to day life of Nurse Riley.  Being a member of the medical staff has as many ups and downs as the rest of the people in theater, and alongside Andy Clark, this is shown through various moments.  Andy was previously established as having a romantic interest in Nurse Riley, but here he demonstrates how he is not just putting on an act, the measures he goes through to entertain the other wounded is heartwarming, and serves as a counterpoint for Nurse Riley, for whom most of the events of this issue seem heartbreaking.
