Mighty Avengers #5
May I say that while I have loved this series, this is not Bendis' best stuff. But considering all the books Bendis is working on and all the things he's planning, something has to lack a bit more than his other stuff.
With that said, I really like this story. I've never read an Ultron story before, but I don't think that I could've found a better way to be introduced to Hank Pym's lil' metal bastard child. The way that the story takes place in such a short amount of time, yet covers so many bases and has such depth, amazes me. But I've read better. It's also worth mentioning that this story doesn't tie in much with Civil War, or World War Hulk, or whatever big-super-huge-mega-event Marvel's having this week, which is a breath of fresh air. For me though, the major selling point of this book is Frank Cho's art. Ms. Marvel looks hot, Ares looks badass, and Ultron looks hot and badass. I love Cho's art, I love the plot, I love the new team, and if you're looking for something new, pick up Mighty Avengers.
