This series so far is the least enjoyable out of the three Avengers titles...the other two being New Avengers and Avengers: The Initiative. This issue was a huge improvement...the writing by Bendis is crisp and excellent. Bagley's art is amazing and Djurdjevic's art of Doom and Le Fey is completely and utterly beautiful.

Here are my gripes...number one: the stupid fucking captions that slow the story down and are most times pointless. I mean when Doom is giving his big spill about why he is going to kill someone and he speaks...does he really pause and do an inner monologue. It is stupid and I wish he would stop...it is NOT catching Bendis.

Second: Ares seems out of character...he is so much cooler and more himself in Incredible Hercules.

Third: If Spider-Woman is a skrull I am going to be pissed...WHY would skrulls hand over evidence to let Earth know they are there before they are ready...if this is true Bendis is going to have to do some major story telling to convince me this was cool.

I love the affair between Doom and Le Fey...and I await Le Fey's vengeance...so overall it is worth reading...just needs some adjustments.

    Great team issue

I happen to love this issue not only because of the gorgeous art but also the characterzation in the issue. This issue really shows how characters react to the events that happen around them and towards their settings. The thought bubbles are awesome and are really give the characters a more realistic persona about them.  For example, when Ares is thinking
"oh shit, don't call my dad up".

I also love how Ms. Marvel keeps asking Dr. Doom his plans and all he can say is shut the F** up all the time to Ms. Marvel, that is very realistic trait of villians. In real life Villians would really say things that way. Overall I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
