Big Head will you come back ?

Can Dark Horse please bring back the Mask (Big Head) ? It's been a long time since he's been in the comics. I think he deserves to be brought back.  As much as I loved the first movie the books were just as better and darker than the movie.

Am I the only one alone on this ?

Yeah I agree cause I want to get on board with his adventures when he comes back. Why has he been in limbo?

I agree. BRING HIM BACK!!!! I can't BELIEVE no one has done anything. Out of ALL the comic book writers out there, NO ONE has tried bringing him back. I ACTUALLY think he should do a crossover with Thor. Think about it; Norse mythology, gods, LOKI!!!! Either way, bring him back in some form or other!

Dark Horse's The Mask comic series has actually been "killed" by the Mask's movie.
Because how different both products ended up and how popular the movie (and cartoon) were, there's some risk of misdirecting the audience if the real original mask would come back. And that's a thing both movie producers and comic book editors wouldn't want :/

The movie was originally going to be a horror movie. Oh how amazing that would have been.

I love Big Head. He is definately one of my favorites. I have every comic he is in... COME BACK!!!

id actually prefer if the character more similar to the movie's version. it could star a new person who gains the mask and tries to be a super-hero while at the same time dealing with problems caused by past wielders. in sure they could bring Big-Head back  as a villain. maybe by having his corpse internalized some of the masks power, or Loki bringing Big-Head back to life to fight the new guy.

Never read the comics, Big Head does look interesting, but I prefer Stanley as the main character if they ever do bring back ''The Mask''.

FFS bring him already! It has been nearly 13 years and he is still not around.

Comics publishers have been able to regenerate and relaunch all kinds of superheroes - The Mask could easily follow suit :)

I wonder if the movies, cartoons and animated series have some copyright "burden" or perhaps conflict of interest on profit (as @eyz stated) for Dark Horse?

If they do a comeback they should blend in elements of the comics with the movie and show.

@amazingwebhead: Maybe a reboot of sorts. I even got an idea on what it should be about

@amazingwebhead: OK. Basically, the back story of the mask is Norse. Loki committed a heinous act that has Odin to strip Loki of his power. However, Loki already stripped himself of his powers and put it in a piece of the tree of life which he shaped into the form of a mask and released it onto Midgard. For centuries the Mask has caused trouble throughout the universe and eventually Earth. In the present, the mask is found by a lonely loser, Stanley Ipkiss. Who is forced to use and keep the Mask in order for it to not fall in the wrong hands. Stanley's Mask persona is like the one in the cartoon/movie except he is willing to fight instead of using trickery. Stanley is usually tormented by the Mask since he has no sense of responsibility. Along the way, he meets Walter. An Asgardian being made by Loki to cause destruction and try to kill the Mask (even though he knows Loki knows that the Mask makes a person immortal, so basically its a rather dark joke made by Loki). Walter is significantly stronger than the one in the comics capable of punching the Mask to other planets. The comics will be sort of like a comedy comic.

Wow, awesome idea!

@amazingwebhead: At the very least I considered writing it as a fanfic. Except, I can't think of anymore villains for the Mask to fight.

Maybe you could look at some previous versions for ideas. If you end up doing it, be sure to let me know.

I want him back !

@amazingwebhead: OK, I thought of Big Head as sort of an off again-on again rival and Dr. Pretorius.
