Kitridge Walker, the son of 21st Phantom is now leading the philanthropic organization Walkabout Foundation that runs for the benefits of Bengali. It appears that Kit has broken the chain and is no longer the Phantom.
While at a fundraising event held in Bengali, there is an attempt to kill Kit on his way back home. A terrorist organization by name Krieghund led by Quisling has the motive of taking over the Walkabout foundation for malicious intentions. He has an army of invisible soldiers targeted at killing Kit's family.
Upon surviving the plane explosion and crash near Bengali village, Kit and his friend/ apprentice Michael discover that Radhi and Mosi are killed. Kit is now in a vengeful state of mind and might take up the mantle of his father to track down the killers.
