    "Off the Deep End"

    THE GOOD:
I really like the artist in this book. Joe Harris gives his panels a very sketchy but very clean feel and I like that he balances them out. The scenery he draws is also very impressive and it definitely gives you a feeling of how big this world is. The story is very much there, but takes a little step back for action. We get Jason meeting some new Firestorms from Paris. They have really cool designs and I think with a bit of development, they could be cool. We slightly see Ronnie in this issue as well. He is making some decisions I think are going to effect the title a lot. I also think that we are on the verge of finding out the reasoning from these attacks. Some really cool destruction scenes in here as well.

    THE BAD:
I really don't know what is going on in this book sometimes. Ronnie and Jason; I liked them as a team and that aspect of the book it gone. I'm really worried about this issue because I'm feeling like I'm watching Revenge of the Sith. I'm not sure how this is going to turn out. I also though Firestorm was a powerful character and now that there are hundreds, I don't think they have the same effect because there is always another one.

    THE VERDICT: 4/5 (Great)
This series is fun to read. You'll enjoy reading it but forget about it in a few days. I think that this is a series where people are going to want to get the trades to understand better. Each issue is good and adds onto a bigger story, but I think I would enjoy it more if it was all together. If you are reading this series, get this issue. It's good and continues on with the story. If not, wait for the trade because I think you will like it better that way.

This cover doesn't quite work. I kind of appreciate the alternation from a Ronnie focused previous cover, to the Jason-centric cover this time; but this one's too crowded. Jason feels almost like he was put there at the last minute, and the two new Firestorms, Firehawk and Hurricane, take up just a little too much space. I like that we can see Paris below, but there's too little of it for the proper effect. And then there's a cloud RIGHT where there was space! Come on!But I'm not disappointed by...
