When someone tries to create a hero of godlike power, there are bound to be a few bumps in the road. And one of those failed, twisted experiments has been kept in a bunker deep underground, far too dangerous and horrific to be allowed to see daylight. Until the mysterious Zither lets this nuclear nightmare free to kill all of Earth's Firestorms! Presenting the shambling horror that was meant to be a savior: Helix!

Gail Simone and Ethan Van Siver have been crafting what seems to be a story plot that takes place around the whole word. Does this issue help contribute to the huge conflict?  THE GOOD: I really like the art. I like the way it looks almost misty in some places. I get the feeling of painted work into the art and I like the way it does it. Anyways, I really like the story and it reads almost like an action movie. We get to meet a very likable villain and feels terribly sorry for him and his allies...

Answers begin coming in as Gail Simone and Ethan Van Sciver lay out their vision for the new Firestorm mythology in this issue. It involves mutually assured destruction and the superhuman equivalent of loose nukes.
