After Polly & Her Pals this is the first American Comic Book, started late in 1929 it was tabloid sized and was made up of 16 pages of comic strips that the creators had not been able to sell to any newspaper syndicates.
At first monthly and costing 10 cents, it then went to 30 cents, and then changed to weekly with the price changed to 5 cents an issue.
Despite the changes it kept loosing money and with issue # 36 it was cancelled.
Dell would use the title The Funnies with a much more successful and long running comic published in the dimensions we are use to today starting in 1936.
