The Fly

Origin

Teenager Jason Troy received a magic amulet of a fly trapped in amber that let him transform into an adult with super powers (with a fly motif).  These included  increased agility, strength,  wall clinging, and compound eyes.  His suit also provided armor, wings, and 270 degree vision.  The wings allowed him to fly or produce vibratory effects.  He can change between Jason and the Fly at will, but the amulet is required to do so.    
 

Publication History

In the 90s DC Comics acquired the license to the superheroes from the Archie Comics line and reinterpreted several of them under the Impact Comics line. The Impact line was separate from the DC Universe and was aimed at younger readers.   One of these was The Fly.
