(May contain Spoilers)

At the Los Angeles Police Department Police Academy, two officers are looking over the scene in the locker room where Steppenwolf came in searching for the orb. They notice that the trail of impact leads straight to Cadet Bart Allen's locker.

Meanwhile, Bart is stuck in traffic. He figured he would get a car to work on his secret identity. He regrets that decision. He manages to foil a bank robbery and return to his car while the car in front of him only moves a couple inches.

At the Academy, the cadets are given a cold case to try to solve. The crime happened almost six years ago. A man was found in an alley with his head apparently torn off. The autopsy and coroner were unable to come up with any leads.

In Rome, Italy on August 24, A.D. 410, two cloaked figures watch a battle. One of them is revealed to be Zoom. A deal is made for Zoom to go after Flash.

Bart checks out the alley of the crime scene. He ponders over the possibilties of the crime. According to the photos, the head couldn't have been ripped off since there was no blood splatter. He also rules out any type of energy blast since there was no markings on the surrounding walls. He notices that there were some puddles of water yet according to the weather records, it hadn't rained in the seventy-two hours before the crime.

As the Flash, Bart seeks out villains that have ice-based powers. He visits Icicle at Alcatraz who was doing time when the murder happened. Next he goes to Gotham to talk to Mr. Freeze. Freeze says common street crimes are beneath him. He is also surprised that Flash hasn't sought out Captain Cold. Flash said he already thought of him but he was reformed at the time. Freeze mentions that Captain Cold is the only one that has the technology to handle temperatures below absolute zero.

In Keystone City, Flash visits Captain Cold. He asks him to turn himself in in Keystone City rather than get extradited to Los Angeles where they have the death penalty. Cold denies the crime but eventually admits it. He says it was just payback from a time they were both in prison. As Flash gets a hold of Cold, Zoom arrives.

In Central City, Jay Garrick defeats Heat Wave. As he's about to be taken away, Inertia talks to him and proposes a team-up that he says will change the world. Getting rid of Flash will be an added bonus.

Flash and Zoom are still fighting. As Flash manages to get the upper hand, he demands to know who sent him after him. Zoom weakly replies, "Her..." as Iris Allen, Bart's Grandma is seen to be the other cloaked individual. She is holding a futuristic gun on him.
