Now that Barry Allen is back in town, investigating crime scenes just got a whole lot cooler. The Good: Francis Manapul's artwork is still good, and I'm much more receptive to it at this point. The mysterious death in this issue is really interesting, and I'm intrigued to see how it develops. Barry Allen's suffering attacks on all fronts. The backlash from the 'real' police is pretty interesting. The fallout from Sam Scudder's special mirror is already hitting Barry, and it's caused some really interesting results, leading into a very subtly emotional scene with Barry and Iris. The ident...

The Flash #9 - Case Two: The Road to Flashpoint, Part One by fedspaz on February 19, 2011

This issue has some aspects that I really liked, although it left me a bit disappointed.  It's really cool that Barry Allen is the "main" character in this issue.  He's looking into a strange case that's left a special person dead.  He's going to need to do some forensics work here.   That's an aspect of the character I like to see.  I also really enjoyed the short conversation between Barry and Iris.  He's opening up about his emotions and his parents and she's trying to get him to step back in...
