Geoff Johns is possibly my favorite writer and Francis Manapul is one of my favorite artists and these two together have created one of the best comics currently out. I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I've liked Blackest Night and Brightest Day. Last times I was into Flash comics Barry was still dead and so was Kid Flash,all the Rogues were alive, Superman was going through that Red and Blue Superman phase  and Wally West  the top speedster. Man o' man, it really doesn't get much better than this.  As I stated in my last review of a Flash comic, this new series written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Francis Manapul might just be the purest, funnest, and overall most enjoyable comic I'm currently reading.  Of course that isn't to say it's flawless (and seeing as I'm supposed to be REVIEWING this thing, I should probably cut the blind praise right there), but this is as good a comic book as can be produced by human hands. I am so glad that The Flash seems to be picking up fans as this great series continues. What cost this issue the fifth star is that I'm ready for the plot to move on a bit. To some extent, it does here, as there's a big moment for Captain Boomerang, as well as an interesting twist for Barry. Personally, five issues seems a bit long to have these Renegades from the future wreaking havoc in the city. I'm also a little confused as to how the Mirror Master fits into all of this.
