Chain Lightning, part 3 of 6. Each of the speedsters have traveled to another time period to recruit heroes against Cobalt Blue. Wally West has come to the 25th century to find out what connection Malcolm Thawne, the first Cobalt Blue, has with Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash. However, when he gets there, he finds Reverse-Flash the “hero” and Chardaq Allen the “villain,” having been possessed by the spirit of Cobalt Blue. Wally, Reverse-Flash, and the Central City Police Force, headed by Simogyn Allen, defeat this era’s Cobalt Blue. However, Reverse-Flash escapes police custody via the Cosmic Treadmill. In the 21st century, Jay Garrick and that era’s Kid Flash, Iris West, defeat that era’s Cobalt Blue, and both continue to recruit throughout the timestream. Bart Allen recruits Thondor Allen, his era’s Flash, and comes across another Flash recruiting. At this point, most of the Flashes between the 20th and 30th centuries are passing along both information and slivers of Cobalt Blue’s mystic gem. Back in the 20th century, though, the original Cobalt Blue almost blasts his guard, Central City PD member Angela Margolin, but Jay Garrick saves her. Meanwhile, Wally follows Reverse-Flash to the year 2980, where he meets a Thawne plotting to kill the Tornado Twins.
