A little slow paced for a comic about a speedster
Cover
I really love the art for the cover. Francis Manapul is one of my favorite artists and he did a great job with the cover. Also liked the concept of the cover with Flash, Kid Flash, and Hot Pursuit.
Story
Hot Pursuit warns Barry Allen that there are different parallel worlds and someone is trying to change them and if they are changed Bart may disappear forever. But Hot Pursuit does not want any help so he rides away. Barry then goes to lab because he got a hair sample of Hot Pursuit to see if he is telling the truth that he is from another parallel world. But then Barry is called on a case and finally has a witness to who is stealing time.
Best Part
I am happy that in this issue we finally get a little more of an understanding of what Flashpoint is going to be about. The title really fits this is the Road to Flashpoint. I am glad that in this issue that some light bulbs went on. I think that the whole Parallel worlds is very interesting and now I know why so many mini series are coming out for this series because there are so many story possibilities with this concept.
Worst Part
I thought this issue was a little slow paced. Even though it made us have a little insight on what is going to happen. I was still upset that we did not find out more. Like my title of my review says it was a little too slow paced for a speedster comic book. But I did really love this creative team and I trust them to give us a really great story.
Art
Like I said for the cover I love Francis Manapul’s art. I love everything he does. He is one of my favorite artists. He does everyone perfectly. I think the best thing he draws in this issue is Flashes power. The powers are just really nicely drawn. I am glad that he is working with a great writer also like Geoff Johns. It is a perfect creative team.
