Did the speed bumps keep the fastest man alive from a good review
Barry Allen has returned to Central City. The story starts out with Iris getting a cup of her best friend coffee, but where's Barry. Barry starts out the story on a high speed chase with the Trickster. Things get bad real fast as they spin off the bridge and it's up to Flash to save them. When that ended Barry returned to his job as a police scientist. He still wants justice for the case with his mom's murder. Later, Mirror Master is transported from a bright blue light on to the road in extreme pain. Barry realizes that isn't the real one. With the Rogues lurking around, the Flash has got a lot on his plate. Barry and Iris have dinner plans with Carter and Shiera, but Barry can't make it because he's got to figure out what's going on. At the end Barry runs into the Rogues from another time that accuse him of killing Mirrior Master. The story I thought was excellent. It was a good way to return Barry Allen to Central City. The cover was very good. The only thing wrong with it was the lack of detail on the buildings. The penciling was average because of some background issues. Some of the buildings did not even have drawings on them. And some were just colors with not outline. The coloring was good. The coloring of the people was very nice to look at. The art overall was average. It was a little disappointing for all the hype. There was not crossover so I will not be rating that. My favorite facial expressions were on the last page when Flash saw the Rogues from another time. The combat between Flash and the Trickster was good. I like how it was kind of an adrenaline thing. So overall I though this was a great first issue. I will give Flash #1 a 4 out of 5.
