Evidence
His mother got murdered when he was young, and his father was accused of it and was taken away for it. Let's dive in to Barry Allen's past in his path to becoming the fastest man alive.
Plus
Brian and Francis shows how well they work together on their take of Flash's Zero issue. The plot for this issue takes us back to Barry's past. The storyline was written effectively with the art complementing it well. Brian's colors for the flashback draws you in to the story, but it doesn't fall short when the panels come back to the present. Francis on the other hand displays his biggest strength in his arsenal which is his layouts. The layout on every page was brilliant and will hook the readers' eyes. The characters' faces were drawn with correct detail to reflect their feelings which lures the readers more as it appeals to their emotions.
Minus
Readers probably wanted to see more of how Barry created his costume... I know I did.
Final Score
It's an amazing display to see just two people in Brian and Francis to do so much damage with limited pages. The Zero issues I have read so far didn't disappoint, Flash #0 included. Marvelous art and plot in 15 pages, be ready to be blown away. Also, I think Francis Manapul just hinted us on his favorite Filipino dish. 5/5 stars.
