Before Blackest Night #8 hits the shelves, lets take a look at Entity shall we?
As a sentient embodiment, Entity embodies creation (life, if you will). Its similar to Parallax, Ion, etc... That being said, I doubt it will give the ability to kill. I can't see Sinestro staying long term with any power source that puts that limitation on him. I mean, he wanted the right to kill in the GLC right?
We have Dove possessing some portion of the White Light and it being fed on by the Anti-monitor. We also have Don Hall appearing to her just prior saying she could save Hank / Hawk and to not give up on him. Does this mean Dove will take Sinestros place? As the avatar of a now dead god of order / peace, it'd make sense. With the power of Life she could save Hank (what about Holly though!?).
Its very likely that a white lantern will be the counter to the power of the black lanterns, like blue is to red. The simple logic is that their 'undeath / unlife' is unnatural life and therefore 'correctable'.
Something else to consider is the fall out. If Blackest Night is supposed to end the 'deaths revolving door' thing leading into Brightest Day, To do that, you need both the absence of a death that allows returns and the absence of a force to overwrite it. With Nekron / Black Hand (as the force / embodiment of Death) and Entity around the loop hole still exists. Will Entity be 'short lived'? Sacrificing itself to nullify the BLC?
