A bold, self-contained issue designed to serve as a jumping-on point for new readers, "The Lost Language of Flowers" features a new look courtesy of cover artist Dave McKean and a lead story ilustrated by Shawn McManus (THE SANDMAN: A GAME OF YOU), with a framing sequence drawn by THE DREAMING's Christian Højgaard and Teddy Kristiansen. A troubled teenager embarks on a surreal journey through The Dreaming to free her sister from the deadly grip of the Three Witches, encountering many of the fantastic inhabitants of the Dream King's realm along the way, including Eve, Lucien, Mervyn Pumpkinhead, and Goldie.

Essentially a surreal alternate take on Sandman's The Kindly Ones story arc. Neil Gaiman supplies a foreword on the inside front cover.
