For Warren's WhiteChapel Remake/Remodel. ( freakangels.com/whitechapel/comments.php?DiscussionID=882... )

The good Doctor is now in a vague military type jacket with a T-shirt underneath, that ideally changes logo/style each episode, showing off something cool and British or, I don't know, Sciency.

And he's addicted to sucking on lollipops.

K9 is now a know-it-all cyborg Pomeranian.

Amazing bit of art Ben. Love the look on the Doctor's face. Sort of angry but also quite curious. The dog seals it.

Not too keen on the idea of a cyborg dog because of the connotations with cruelty to animals, but other than that I like the art.

cruelty? aren't cyborgs usually lifeforms who's lives are prolonged by implants?

I would say that there is more to it than just prolonging the life of the organism, if we consider examples of cyborgs in other media, the Borg, the Cybermen, Victor Stone, Universal Soldiers etc, some were made to be used as drones or weapons. Purely from my perspective I would imagine that someone would obviously have to do something to the dog for it to become a cyborg and I would guess that it has K-9's programming, so there would be some sort of neural integration between the organic and mechanical "parts"

The fact that there is an animal involved and not a human could create a dispute (because if sentience etc)... it would really depend on the portrayal and origin, my initial reaction was that I didn't like the idea, but I am intrigued by what Ben's mindset is on the character.
