    The latest news on Series 5 of "Doctor Who" is the Doctor will be getting a young new assistant.  It's been reported that actress Hannah Murray will become the next actress to (most likely) fall in love with the Doctor (played by Matt Smith).

    The new Doctor will be the youngest to pay the Time Lord and to keep up, he will be getting a nineteen year old companion.  Murray has appeared on two seasons of the show "Skins" and is impressed the shows producers.

    I suppose this means that Michelle Ryan will not be upgrading her role to full time assistant?

    I do have to say that I am getting a little worried with the way the actors are just getting younger and younger.  What's going to happen with the (inevitable) next incarnation of the Doctor?  "Doctor Who: High School Musical"?

    That's what I'm saying.  They keep getting younger.  I get that they want to keep and bring in the younger viewers.  But what about us "older" viewers?  "Doctor Who: 90210"?  But if she can truly act, great.  I have no idea what she's capable of.

    That's true.  He does want to separate things from David Tennant's run (hence the TARDIS makeover), but making everyone young...I don't know.  Next we'll be seeing the CyberKIDS attacking, replacing the Cybermen.

    If the writing is still solid, I probably won't care. I'm still waiting to see the Time War.... Or the Doctor going back to try and steal Collin Baker's last Regens in Trial of the Time Lord

    I'm not panicking just yet... Everything & anything new in the Doctor Who world is always on the BBC news before it's leaked anywhere else.  Its their own property & they know it is always big news.  But there's not a peep of it on their websites (BBC news & Doctor Who), or on their news channel.

    It may be that he thinks younger doctor must = younger companions and that it may look strange a 20 year old running round with a 40 yr old
