Just a little news item this morning for my fellow Doctor Who fans on the board...

As some of you are no doubt aware, in the spring of 2010, when the new season of Doctor Who debuts on the BBC, we will have a new Producer/Head Writer (Steven Moffat, taking over from Russell T. Davies), a new Doctor (Matt Smith, who has the unenviable task of taking over from David Tennant, the most popular Doctor since Tom Baker), and a new companion.

At 8 AM this morning Greenwich Mean Time, the BBC revealed that there will also be a NEW LOGO that will grace our screens during the opening credits of the show:

I was planning on posting this in the news but...

I saw this earlier.  Friends of mine actually like this... but it's too flat!  It looks like something a student whipped up.  The thing is, the BBC have a history of wasting millions of pounds to redesign logos.  I really hope they didn't waste a lot of money with this, because it looks cheap and about 15 years out of date.  But little kids will love it.
