Those of us watching Doctor Who have been a little sad since the news broke  that David Tennant was turning in his key to the TARDIS.  The good news is there appears to be three more chances to see Tennant as the Doctor once he leaves the show.

In an appearance that very very few will see, Tennant will be popping up in the spin-off "Sarah Jane Adventures."  Remember that glorious trailer we saw?

Tennant will also appear in a new animated feature called "Dreamland" and also stars Georgia Moffett (who played the "Doctor's daughter") as a new character named Cassie.  Somehow I've missed the first animated Doctor Who adventure, "The Infinite Quest" somehow (was it any good?).

So what's the third feature?  The BBC has reported that the long-rumored big screen adaption may be happening.  "A script is in development."  Before anyone says anything, let's just think about the notion of a big budget, big screen Doctor Who adventure....Aaaaaah.  Let's hope it can happen.

Being a sporadic Dr. Who viewer,  I think a Dr. Who movie would be a lot of fun.  The character has a strong fan base and I'm surprised one hasn't already been made.
Make sure there are plenty of hot "birds" as in the T.V. series.

It came out here on DVD last November.  Somehow I completely missed it.  Gotta check it out.

The Doctor making an appearance in SJA?  Yay!!  That's brilliant news!

The Infinite Quest was okay.  If you watch it all in one go then it seems to move pretty fast.  But it was originally broadcast in 5 minute segments as part of Totally Doctor Who (a kids show about how to make monsters, aliens, sound effects, etc)... I often collapsed on the sofa after work, caught a few episodes of it then & was left wanting to see the next part.  I'm guessing that most people will hate the animated style... but it is a pretty good story.  Lots of different adventures in one, and it's great for kids.

It's not about the old movies from the past.  It's about getting more David Tennant as the Doctor.
