A reformed criminal, the Deacon wears a deacons uniform and fights crime with the aid a young boy known only as Mickey. The Deacon, however, does not seem to be a real leader in any church to speak of, but instead takes his name from the fact that his secret headquarters is an abandoned church in a marshland.

His real name (I.e. whenhe was a criminal) was never revealed with Mickey referring to him as “Mr. Deacon.”

Given the set-up, I’m guessing eventually it all ended in tears.
