    Jackie and the Batz

Unlike most par for the course one shot cross over stories this one doesn't have a team up to take down villains crossing over with other series said villains and ending it on a good day. Jackie and the Darkness aren't good or bad their there just to get the job done. Batman on the other hand doesn't see it this way of course. In his vain efforts to stop the Darkness he tries to plea with Jackie instead of fighting him, convince him that hes still a man and not a creature born to kill.

Most of the book is the two at odds with each other but not in direct conflict. Its interesting to see a brutal and typically violent character like Jackie having a heating conversation with Bruce Wayne while jogging in Gotham Park. The book is just good enough to stand out on its own amongst many other one shot cross overs but just like its ending it leaves you wanting more. That being said regardless I love seeing two of my favorites in one book. Fun stuff.

That said, I've enjoyed crossovers with Judge Dredd and Green Arrow but none of the others. It's because they all seem the same. you can just tell that the image of both main characters need to be protected and both need to look strong. I wasn't impressed by the chemistry between them either. Batman and Judge Dredd make for great chemistry.I've never seen this darkness guy before but his little demon...
