New 'The Dark Knight Rises' Movie Poster

With all this Avengers talk, you haven't forgotten about the release of The Dark Knight Rises, have you? The latest on the Batman front is the release of the new movie poster for the movie. Evidently, a fire will rise; and it looks like it will leave Gotham City burning.

The poster features the silhouette of the 'bat symbol' cut out of the Gotham City sky. Front and center is Christian Bale as Batman. Will he stop the fire from rising and burning Goham to the ground? We'll have to wait until July 20th to see.

I saw this a little while ago and went "wow, that's a pretty good fan-made poster."

Then I saw it was posted by the official Dark Knight Rises page.

At least they had that stunning poster of Bane walking away from Batman's shattered mask. I need to get my hands on one of those.

And, it certainly beats Marvel's tactic of "photoshop the roster into team pose #27!"

It would be hilarious if that's how AvX ends. While the two teams are fighting, Batman just spends 5 minutes in his bat-cave, creates "anti-Phoenix force spray," and saves the day.

It's the same poster as dark knight, just with a different color explosion,.... though you gotta admit it's still pretty cool.

I can't wait! But I'm a little worried about the storyline; it seems too complicated. And just because Nolan doesn't want to direct them anymore doesn't mean Batman has to have his back broken.

Ah yes, continuing the trend of awkwardly photoshopped movie posters with composition that is TOTAL BANANAS. I wonder if the kids doing these have even heard of basic three point perspective.

It's such a shame that this is Nolan's last Batman film. Apart from producing (or whatever) the new Superman, let's hope he finds his way into directing some more superhero films as he sure knows how to handle them.

Wow. They took the first poster, added some orange, and slapped a promo pic of bats on it that doesn't even remotely share the same angle or perspective. Terrible.
