When Juno Temple was cast in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, it didn’t take too deep an understanding of the Bat-mythos to hazard a good guess about who her blonde, “street-wise Gotham gal” character would be. Seeing as how Catwoman was going to be in the movie, too, she’d just have to be Holly “Catwoman II” Robinson, wouldn’t she? If the evidence is so clear for Talia al Ghul’s presence in the flick, then it’s just blatant in this case, isn’t it?

Comicbook Movie pulled some quotes out of Temple’s Total Film interview which seem to make it abundantly clear that she’s playing Holly. When asked directly about it, she uttered the following…

I can't talk about that. But I think it's going to be [frick]ing unbelievable. [Christopher Nolan] is awesome! There's something really gentlemanly about him. He's got an insane, incredible vision going on. Just getting the opportunity to work with him is awesome.

Neither confirming nor denying, but... c'mon, now.

I sincerely doubt we’re going to see any of the character’s later crime fighting business in the movie, but I do think this means that the portions involving Selina will probably take their cues from the character’s re-worked origin in BATMAN: YEAR ONE. That, incidentally, was when Holly was still an under-aged prostitute (a job that certainly necessitates street smarts.) Most likely, this rounds out the identities of the whole cast, unless there does end up being more to JGL's character then him simply being a super cop. Do you maniacs have any theories?

I don't mind this one bit. Let's see if her inclusion will make the movie better.

I kinda figured this when I first saw the updated cast.  "Streetwise" Gotham girl indeed!  That spells Holly Robinson to a T! Good lord, this movie is gonna be great. Gosh, is it July 2012 yet?

I would like to see her play Harley as a nod to Heath Ledger but Holly as a character is welcome as well. I just think Harley being a character in the movie would be a pleasant surprise for everyone, she's quite popular afterall.

Seems too early to bring Holly in, wouldn't it be just as likely that she is Batgirl or Spoiler? She could pull off Stephanie Brown.

She's probably one of those supporting characters that only have 10 - 15 minutes of screen-time. Whatever the role is, I bet it's still significant.

I don't remember who Juno Temple is.  I have only seen one of her movies (Other Boleyn Girl), but its been a while.  Will have to see if netflix still has it.  Boy, I hope they do some explaining in the movie as I don't remember her at all.

Never heard of this person before.  Not really interested though in whatever role she might play.

Don't you think they might be overdoing it a little. Do not get me wrong i am on pins and needles for this flick, but there seems to be a shitload of characters. Is Nolan trying to cram every single bat character under the sun into this?

Personally I think this is okay. Using comic characters who fit the bill for what the script requires instead of creating someone new (unless the comic character might fit the bill, but be near unrecognisable). The only problem I see though is people hyping it up to make it seem like there are 20 main characters, when really some of these roles might just be bit-parts or in more of an ensemble sense (say, five known actors playing named comic cops under Gordon but acting less as main characters and more like supporting cast)

Sadly, I'm feeling that this movie is going to "Spider-Man 3" the franchise and ruin all the good will the first two movies created.
