Behold The First Official Dark Knight Rises Poster!
Not going to see it. I didn't like the last one, hated the batsuit, didn't like Bale as Batman, didn't like Two-Face killed in five minutes, didn't like Batman framing himself, I could go on. I definately don't like this Bane, he's too small and he looks like a zombie from Resident Evil or something. Almost as bad as what X3 did to Juggernaut. One day, hopefully Juggernaut and Bane will be done right on the big screen, as in look and character, not one or the other. To me, Batman '89 and Batman Returns are the only ones who brought the Batman straight from the comics to the screen.
This would be too sweet if it did include elements of No Man's Land in there. We already sense Knightfall's presence so adding another epic story we all know and love to this will only make it better. Yes, I'm excited now.
To me, Batman '89 and Batman Returns are the only ones who brought the Batman straight from the comics to the screen.Agreed.
I particularly loved the scene in Batman Returns where Batman is throwing people off buildings and psychotically killing them with dynamite. It's like the comic book character just jumped right off the page at me.
No Man's Land? Wow, I didn't even think about that. Hopefully we'll get some decent cameos out of this.
Definitely. They got his character down perfectly.@MrErbac said:

Batman in the 1989 movie is closer to the borderline sociopath from the 1939 comics, in the dvd extras, they even mention Robin not being in the movie makes it closer to Batman's early times in 1939-40 (the movie works as a dark origin story) where as Batman Returns shows a much more considerate, but still decidedly brutal and stylish Frank Miller-type Batman (Miller was a big influence on Burton for Returns). Besides, you guys are acting like Batman just purposely killed people and there were bodies everywhere, when really he was defending himself and possibly only kills that one guy.
on a side note:I think ppl are jumpin to conclusions on the "No Mans Land" tho Nolan has a habit n a uncanny nack for sendin ppl in the wrong direction lol..we have to look at the SYMBOLISM of what he's doing in this poster....but hey I could be wrong, think endgame..No Mans Land is a setup for something more something drawn out..doesnt add-up
I think it sounds like Knightfall alot because Bane broke out prisoners from arkham in knightfall
but the last X-Men was good, and Thor was ok as well. i can't say the same for the last two Batman movies. Joker was the only (i also like Bale as Bruce Wayne) good thing from the last 2 movies. For all the people saying Thor and X-Men were good I can't wait until this comes out so they can be reminded that Nolan's Batman series is how you should approach comic book adaptations.
rumor is that there will be a Dark Knight Rises trailer before the 7th (part 2) Harry Potter movie :D
