Plot Summary
This extraordinary comics plot is in the distant future Bruce Wayne retires from being Batman. There is so much evil evil in Gotham Batamn gives into his Conscience and returns witha vengeance. The Gang known as the Mutants, The Cold War, The Release of The Joker[bad mistake], The Healing of Two-Face's scars,and a new Robin, the world of The Dark Knight hasnt changed in a decade. Batman is 55 years old during this period and is not in his fighting prime but he can still kick criminal behind.
When he returns he starts going after the Mutants gang,Carrie Kelley is influenced by Batman after saving her from the Mutants. The psyciatrists at Arkham realease Harvey Dent with a healed face but even with a healed face he can still go lony. Two-Face gets caught by Batman.Joker is fought to be supposedly sane but he had tricked them for he is unpredictable.Batman finds the Mutants are using military weaponary he uses some of his own such as his Batmobile Tank. A mutant challenges him he escapes barly and the Mutant challenges him. Robin has joined Batman. Batman defeats the leader mutant when he is puposely let free.The Police get a new Commisioner.Her name is Ellen Yindell doubt the same as Ellen Yin from the Animated The Batman Series. The Joker is let free and starts wreking havoc killing 206 with his Joker Venom rather quickly. He used bombs like toy dolls to hold people randsom and he also kidnapped Selina Kyle .[And the police are after Batman ?] Batman ends up killing Joker, possibly you know how he comes back know what I mean.There is a Soviet bomb scare and Batman rallies up the mutants and sons of batman groups to stop the panic. Superman confronts Batman. Batman has help from Green Arrow,Alfred,and the new Robin. Batman pretty much beats the crap out of Superman but his heart gives out from his old body. He has funeral but is not dead and creates a group called the Ex-Mutants. Alfred has a stroke and dies.

The Dark Knight Returns is purly epic. The fight between Batman and Superman was fantastic.It proves my forum topic on who would make a better president Superman or Batman it clearly shows Superman as a government tool. How good of a president can that be? It's a good well thought out story and should be read by any fan of the caped crusader.It is thrilling; I was excited to see what was going to happen next.
