    The Bullet's Kiss is a five part story arc in "The Black Hood" continuity of comic books that follows Greg Hettinger, a Philadelphia cop who accidentally shot and killed Thomas "Kip" Burland otherwise known as, The Black Hood in a gunfight where Hettinger faced a shotgun blast to the face. In the aftermath, struggling to cope with his scarred face and slurred speech, he slowly gets addicted to pain killers and slowly begins to go out more, as The Black Hood.
