Not what I expected
I read this book last night and it didnt really like it all that much.
When I first picked it up from the library and and saw the art it didnt seem like something I'd expect to see from one of the major three companies.
It could just be that I am a huge fan of more refined art in the style of say Jim Lee, Michael Turner or Marc Silvestri.
Another thing i noticed while flipping through the book I noticed that there were groups of multiple page text sections throughout the book.
This is the first time I'd seen that I a comic and I didnt like it.
Anyways, even after being put off by those two things I still gave the book a chance.
After reading it I felt that it just didnt suit my tastes at all.
I didnt like the art and the story could have been much better.
The prose pages by the author character made the book seem like it could have been a novel the Milligan at the last minute decided to use for a comic.
I like the Vertigo Crime books a lot and hope that the next one is of better quality.
