The Braidmen are a clann of scavengers and contraband pirates led by Granak. The clann appears to be exclusively comprised of males within a single race of aliens, with the exception of their Prixiam, Nol-Anj. Previously, the Braidmen had dwindled to a minimal few, but it's been shown that with the return of their Prixiam, the number of members has grown to a healthy number, which exhibits how essential the position and power of the Prixiam in correlation to the clann's survival is.
Clann Customs
The Braidmen's name derives from their custom of braiding their hair, much like the Egyptians. The length of their hair and the number of the beads reveals a kind of status within the clann. The older and with more merit, the longer and bedecked their hair. To cut a braidman's hair is of the utmost insult.
