This issue takes our heroes out of Victorian London and into the countryside. Mandy has heard from her father, who abandoned her family when she was a child.
They stop at an inn with an odd painting of a demon, made by the local Squire Blakblud. He has been making all sorts of eerie paintings and having the locals hang them throughout town.
They go to the tavern and meet Mandy's father, Egan. He tells her of a series of gruesome murders and unexplained events, and wants her to solve the case because it's been hurting his business. Angered by his callousness, she stomps off.
That night, they find that a demon is stalking the town--the very demon in the painting! After a short battle, they find it back in the painting. Mandy and Bozz go off to visit its creator, Squire Blakblud, while Salem stays to watch the original painting. That night a while host of demons come out of the paintings all across town, and Salem runs off to find his friends. They have trailed the squire to the town church, where his final painting, of Satan himself, is just starting to come alive. It turns out that the squire agreed to let the demons take over the world if they would give their town prosperity. Mandy's charming dad happens on the scene and is just fine with this too, as long as it helps sell some more pints at the tavern.
The others don't think this is such a good deal and finally manage to destroy the painting and stop Satan, with Mandy delivering a solid right cross to her dad's chin for his involvement.
