'The Avengers' Trailer
I was trembling when I clicked play. Seriously, trembling. I haven't been this jazzed for a movie trailer since Spider-Man.
Oh, and I'm sure this probably got buried under all the trailer hooplah, but as a cherry to top this chocolate, awesome, and vanilla sundae, Marvel also FINALLY released an Android app today too.
I'll be honest, I'm let down. It looks well-made and everything, but it just feels like another Marvel movie, and it can't afford to be. It can't afford to have the outright predictability that the others have.
I pretty much know everything and I've not seen it. We all know how it'll go. Who can say the same for T.D.K.R.? In a few seconds worth of footage, Nolan generated more hype and dread than this whole trailer.
I realised I'm more excited to see it happen, than to see WHAT happens.
I don't like that they're essentially making Tony a comedian. He's funny, but it's a bit much. It's like they're trying to make him Spider-Man. Again with the Scarlett stuff, too. Is that all she can do? Pout, do a corkscrew headscissor and pose like Spider-Man?
The whole thing just felt like it showed too much of itself, somehow.
This needs to be the biggest, most epic Marvel movie, It needs to go beyond being a Marvel movie like the others. The trailer doesn't make me feel it will. Also, the song was incredibly ill-fitting. I much prefer orchestral stuff.
Loving the way its looking. Marvel is doing some good work :) and the song is absolutely great. Trent Reznor always knew how to do it.
AMAZING! Loki's looking sinister and I can't wait for this. I love how Cap's all "You're just a regular dude" and Tony's all "but I'm a RICH DOUCHEY REGULAR DUDE!" Thor's just like "Ha, I'm God"
Where is Optimus prime, because it sure seemed to be Just like Transformers' trailer. The introduction and the music sounds just like Transformers....Epic FAIL!
I've never watched a trailer three times before. I might have to break my streak of not seeing movies in the theater.

I liked the trailer but kind of feel it was an action one to get the Transformers crowd into see the film, that being said film looks class and love the bits between Tony and Banner and his part with Cap
Yeah. The opening moments of the trailer, including its sound effects, really screamed 'Transformers 4'. Then, Loki shows up and all is well. Believe it or not, I'm okay with the 'Transformers crowd' being lured in because they've demonstrated a willingness to spend lotsa money.
I enjoyed the trailer, but I'm really looking forward to the one's we'll see in February and March of next year. By then, most of the post-production will be done, so we'll plenty of CGI Hulk and whatever otherwordly threat the Avengers are facing.
By the way, can Marvel even use the Skrulls? Isn't that tied into the Fantastic Four licensing; which they don't have to play with.

I saw Tony just being his usually snarky self. I wish this movie DID have Spider-man among its 'assembling' Avengers though; dammit, Marvel.
Whatever nerdgasm you may have just had, multiply that by about 3 and that's what I felt. FINALLY, HULK APPEARS(though only for 2-3 seconds)!! And I sense that Cap and Tony will be having some tension between them :D and that's when big bada** Loki comes in and forces them to work together!
Oh, HELL YEAH. I'm so stoked for this and I know this movie is gonna be Awesome. Can't wait to watch this.
Why does Scarlett Johansson have to look up and flick her hair every single time she takes someone down.
@Zomboid: because kevin freige is a numbnut. because ed is a creative man and knows what he like and wants to get the movie right no matter how long it takes (hulk) kevin didnt like that. and because they blame ed not making as much money as the iorn man movie did

Oh man... love me some Hulk....
Im actually excited for this.
That was the best part of the trailer for me and actually gave the theme of what I think this film is going to be about..."Iron Man being fun and chewing scenery while everyone else attempts to get a piece"
@movieartman: Source and why should Hulk be a bad guy, looks like he is helping out. Skrulls maby could be cool
OOOOOHHHH MYYY GOOOD !!!!!! I think this is going to be the best Marvel movie ever made !!!!! I for my part was a littlebit dissapointed from the Captain america movie but THIS is going to be awesome !!!
Whether you like the trailer or not, I think what Marvel did here is a first in MOVIE history!
They had four individual movies (Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America) and made all those character join each other for one movie starring all 4 (and more) of them. A comic book readers' dream right? :) I know I wanna go and see that :)
I just wish they would have held out on the trailer until more of the special effects were added. I loved the trailer, don't get me wrong, but I would have liked to have seen exactly why all those cars were exploding. They just seemed to be exploding and flying through the air for no reason. That said, I can't wait for this movie to come out.
After watching this, I had testosterone flowing up to my eyeballs. Joss Whedon, you have earned your place in the pantheon of Nerd Gods!
