Wow, I'm really not feeling this alternate opening at all. Maria Hill is such a Negative Nancy here, but of course that's her character so it comes as no surprise. Nah, the actual opening was way better...best thing for this scene is to be an alternate opening. Still good all the same since I get to see my fave Cobie Smulders in it once more.

I thought the Avengers was really good, but always felt like it was missing some things in terms of plot. I really wish this scene had been left in, in hindsight the film seems incomplete without this.

No offense to anyone who is a fan of Ms. Cobie Smulders, but i think that she should have been re-cast. She is moderately tolerable on HIMYM, but i found her to be so annoying in The Avengers. I didnt find the character annoying, just her. I feel that she doesnt have the ferver to play Hill, and she looked terrible with a gun in her hands. Some people just dont look good with a weapon, and she is one of them. Again, this is my extremely negative opinion, and do not expect anyone to agree with me. I am glad this scene didnt make it in the final cut.
