The Avengers is just two months from landing in theaters. We recently had the Superbowl TV spot (and the extended cut) but it didn't seem likely that we'd get another full trailer this close to the movie's release. Usually we just see a bunch of 30-second TV spots, often with similar footage compiled in a different sequence. Let me just point out that I am not complaining.

Today, Marvel and Disney have officially released a new trailer. You can watch it exclusively on iTunes trailers and through the embed below. We'll upload it onsite as soon as it's made available.

I died a little while watching this. Though I still want to know why who they're fighting besides Loki and why were Cap, Iron Man, and Thor fighting each other in that forest? May 4 needs to get her quick

Yes, I STILL hate Captain America's outfit for this movie, but if the film is HALF as good as this trailer it's going to just be beyond awesome.

So is anyone else not getting the feeling that this movie is going to take place from Captain America's perspective? That's what Whedon said part of the focus of the film would be, using the perspective of CA to put everything and the rest of the team into context. Seems more like the film is going to balance character screen time a bit more and I'm just wondering if that's going to detract from the flow of the story. Or is this actually a movie that's using its trailers correctly so we don't see that side of the film until it comes out?

How is Iron Man kicking the crap out of Thor?

Oddly I think my favourite part of that may have been the Hulk catching Iron Man.

This film looks so great, can't wait. It's nice to see the Hulk at the beginning of that group shot where it pans around them, last time it looked like he magically appeared at the end.

Amazing Simply Amazing, I really hope this is good. But the odds are in the Totally Awesome Favor.

When Hulk saved Iron Man from falling, I got chills.

Back in 2002, when I saw Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, I became a comic book fan ever since. Now, only ten years after the fact, not only did we get Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Iron Man movies, but now we're getting a movie that features all of these great characters all at once. I'm so proud that these movies have done so well, and actually watching all of them on screen at the same time has me, and the ten year old inside me, bursting with excitement. This movie, and the upcoming Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spider-Man, and Man of Steel make me so proud to be a part of the comics community; even if it only means I'm a reader, a blogger, or just a longtime fan in general. If it weren't for that awesome experience merely ten years ago, I would have never found my passion in drawing, reviewing, and reading. Thanks, Marvel Studios, Disney, and Warner Brothers, for bringing things like this to the big screen and reminding me why I'm the person I am today. Thank you for almost never letting me down.
