If you are a Marvel movie fan and you caught the Superbowl last year then you might recall that was one of the first moments we witnessed Chris Evans as Captain America in the 'Captain America: The First Avenger' teaser trailer. It's hard to believe a whole year has gone by since then -- but it has. This year's Superbowl will not only feature football and performances by Madonna, it will also be the first time we catch Marvels 'The Avengers' movie trailer. However, if you just cant wait to get a look at all the action, you're in luck. Marvel provided fans with a teaser of the Super Bowl XLVI Commercial, which you can watch below and also caught up with the film's director, Joss Whedon.

Whedon revealed that he not only " [already] read all" the Avengers comic books in preparation for the film, but that there also "won't be a Spider-Man cameo." Honestly, we are kind of okay with that. Check out the full seventeen second long trailer that gives us a great look at The Hulk as well as some crazy explosions in the middle of Times Square. Just because the movies will not have the Skrulls or the Kree doesn't mean that the other realms may appear. It seems that the they will be aliens which is pretty cool.

Really? Prince wasn't an amazing half time show? Purple Rain with literal purple rain (Ok, not literally, but normal rain that was made to look purple by the lights)?

Regarding the clip. Meh. Who cares? We've already got a mini-trailer after Cap. A full trailer. A Superbowl clip and another trailer. You won't even have to see the movie if you watch all these. There will be more, too.

well looks like i'll have to check it out on youtube. i dont really watch the superbowl commercials. im usually pacing back and forth when the Pats play.
