For months we've been wondering who the heck Loki's army is. There has been some glimpses in the trailers. People have taken screen grabs of the trailer but if you were at C2E2 and stopped by Diamond Select's booth, you got to see what the army creatures will look like.

Today, Diamond Select has released a nice clear image of a member of the army. Check it out below if you are curious.

    No Caption Provided

That's not all they have coming. A Loki's Army footsoldier is also coming in Minimate form (series 45) along with some other Avengers.

    == TEASER ==
    No Caption Provided

And if you're a Hawkeye or Jeremy Renner fan, you'll probably want to pick up this 7-inch figure.

    No Caption Provided

The Minimates 2-packs will be released in early May. The Marvel Select Hawkeye and footsoldier will be out in July. Both will come with a bridge battle display base that connect to form a larger battle scene. Look for them in comic shops and specialty stores.

From what I heard, their basically the same as the skrulls(with the shapeshifting and the destroyed homeworld), except for the name and the color(because Fox has the Skrulls right). Also heard they are loaned to Loki by a certain major bad guy:

Chitauri aren't a Kree-Skrull race. They're strictly Skrull. Go watch the Ultimate Avengers. They're a more agressive & violent subfaction of the Skrull race. Get your facts right.

Yep they're the Skrulls Ultimate counterpart & they caused the Ultimate Avengers (movie version) to band together in the animated movie. Loki won't work with his own race so my theory is he stole the Infinity Gauntlet from the Asgardian Vault & trade it to Thanos for the army. I'd love to see Thanos siloheutted out & have him sitting somewhere with his Infinity Gauntlet showing & say something bada$$.

In the Ultimate ubiverse, the chitauri are the same species as the skrulls, but they are labeled as "terrorists" by the 'real' skrulls.

    This argument is pointless.

Fran Drescher just confirmed that the villians in question are, in FACT, Kree-Skrull.

(and maybe Joss said that; doesnt really matter)

And if you think im lying, I will write you a very stong letter of mild ill will and dissapointment, and send it to your home.

Then we will see who the bigger man-child is.

Like anything in the Movies and the other Marvel Earths, names are all subjective. Joss Whedon liked the idea of the Skrull but for whatever reason didn't want to use them as such. He probably also liked the idea of the Kree. Since there was a similar off-shoot of skrull in the Ultimates Universe he used them the Chitauri. Is this the same as the ones in the Ultimate, NO. Are they really Skrull or Kree? NO. Remember every Earth Marvel creates has its own names & origins for things and a lot of times they use the same name or origin for a character for a total different one. My opinion just enjoy the movie. Its like the Green Lantern movie that got such bad reviews and bashed by the comic community. I personally thought it was a good movie and I came in with no preconceptions because I read nothing online and had never read a Green Lantern comic.

Guys, it's not anybody huge. I'm pretty sure Loki just got minions from the other realms. That giant flying snake monster, isn't that the serpent of something? I remember there being a giant snake monster in the comics, but I never really read much Thor.

Yeah the Marvel Cinematic Universe is clustersmuck of alternate realities. Aren't the Kree usually more peaceful than the Skrulls? Since alot of their guys help the Marvel heroes? Like Noh-Var & Mar-Vell are heroes. But Skrulls are usually bad guys. Plus I thought Thanos wasn't Kree or Skrull. I thought he was his own race of alien so when did he make become a Skrull or Kree leader?

Comic-book fact-check time: the Kree are the reason the Skrulls are so violent. The skrulls were nothing more than peaceful farmers until the Kree "Empire" (keep that word in mind when thinking of how peaceful they are) decided to invade their homeworld, forcing the Skrulls to fight back and adapt, becoming the "bad guys" everybody sees them as.

Aren't the Kree usually more peaceful than the Skrulls?

Comic-book fact-check time: the Kree are the reason the Skrulls are so violent. The skrulls were nothing more than peaceful farmers until the Kree "Empire" (keep that word in mind when thinking of how peaceful they are) decided to invade their homeworld, forcing the Skrulls to fight back and adapt, becoming the "bad guys" everybody sees them as.

Thanks thats why I asked. So basically the Skrulls are pissed off because of the Kree wanted to take over their home? That'd make me crazy too lol.

Surtur could've lent Loki the army. People here say it was Disir or the Sons of Muspelheim. I see the horse-like enlongated jaw structure that people can connect with the Korbinites. BUT honestly the general fan is pretty ignorant to comic book stuff. So that might go over there here. I hope it something Asgardian in nature that'd make more sense.

From what I heard, their basically the same as the skrulls(with the shapeshifting and the destroyed homeworld), except for the name and the color(because Fox has the Skrulls right). Also heard they are loaned to Loki by a certain major bad guy:

    Thanos

Yep they're the Skrulls Ultimate counterpart & they caused the Ultimate Avengers (movie version) to band together in the animated movie. Loki won't work with his own race so my theory is he stole the Infinity Gauntlet from the Asgardian Vault & trade it to Thanos for the army. I'd love to see Thanos siloheutted out & have him sitting somewhere with his Infinity Gauntlet showing & say something bada$$.

Didn't the red skull get sent to space in Cap? Maybe he brought them. I'm not sure thet'd bring Thanos into the 1st movie, but maybe. Who knows.

Not really specified if he got disintegrated & ultimately died or just got transported. But remember the Tesseract was used to power HYDRA's weaponry (in the movie). Plus Skull kinda sticks to his own armies so if he lent Loki a army it'd be some freaks that Zola was working on. The main villains that need to be in the next few movies are: Mandarin (Iron Man 3) screw the rumors he's Iron Man's main antagonist & their in China or Namor (since the actor is European I'm guessing by his name); Skurge & Enchantress for Thor 2 & Surtur or Bor for Thor 3 (since Bor & Surtur are Thor's biggest threats); Captain America 2 should focus on Winter Soldier & Captain America 3 should be Baron Von Strucker or Baron Helmut Zemo (since Strucker was more of a threat than Zemo or Skull); & IF Incredible Hulk 2 comes out maybe She-Hulk & Titania or General Thunderbolt becoming Red Hulk & then build to the Leader (since he's technically his main antagonist). Thanos would be a waste if they debuted him that early Masters Of Evil should be next then get their a$$e$ kicked & have Thanos make his stand in Avengers 3 since he's technically 1 of the strongest villains in Marvel.

It was a pretty safe bet they would be Chitauri. They played the exact same role in Ultimate. The fact that they differ greatly in their film incarnation is just the nature of the adaptation. Idk why some ppl where so hellbent that they were those wierd valkiries that showed up like once during dark reign.

No offense it'd be "They look nice" since it's plural not singular & more than 1 of them. But they do look ill.

@Namor1987: Oh I know, I was really just making two separate comments. I meant to say the race that is portrayed by the toy is the Chitauri and that THAT particular piece displayed for us looks nice. My bad, lol.

@Asok: They are Chitauri which are kind of like the Ultimate version of the skrulls (even though skrulls exist in ultimate marvel).

Chitauri aren't a Kree-Skrull race. They're strictly Skrull. Go watch the Ultimate Avengers. They're a more agressive & violent subfaction of the Skrull race. Get your facts right.

Or he can read the Ultimates volume 1...

@Shoe: Yes but that doesn't mean they can't use the regular skrulls in the future, they aren't very chitauri-like I heard, they just have that name in the movie(again I heard this)
