We're about a month and half away from the release of The Avengers. We just saw some new posters the other day but now we can check out some new footage courtesy of the Japanese version of the trailer. It debuted on Yahoo! Japan. A couple things you should notice is:

The arrival of the aliens.

Pepper Potts.

The SHIELD Helicarrier.

Well i dont know about you people, but i've been waiting for the P^¨-J:jp-R¨ movie for a Looong time!

They're not aliens 1stly. Look at the armor & weaponry clear indicator that more similar to the Frost Giants in that aspect. I thought they were the Sons of Muspelheim? The overhead shot of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier is too epic

love these added tidbits... love the concept of the helicarrier, but its so NOT practical (wife got onto me for being over critical.. 'its fiction!') CANNOT wait to see this movie. already planning a day off!

I hope Rhodey is in it or is at least being mentioned. It would make sense that Fury would ask a soldier with the Armor to be on the Avengers before asking Stark.

I love the Japanese narration. I don't know what he's saying but it sounds epic.

Might get a cameo or be in the next film. But that does make more sense

Rhodes is still new to the War Machine armor so maybe Fury can get him more training with it.

It looks great if you can ignore that generic shield agent shrimp who has no resemblance to Hawkeye at all. What a miscast, almost as bad as the shrimp playing Bane.

Sweet! I'm really interested to see how Black Widow is gonna hold her own against inter-dimensional army. I know Whedon won't downgrade her cos he's awesome so it should be cool to see

I disagree.... I feel that they are aliens. In fact I believe this will be the first introduction of the Skrulls. They are drawn to Earth by Loki's trickery using the Cosmic Cube to lure them there. Once the Avengers have destroyed the intial threat the Skrulls will fan out into the other movies that are planned i.e: Iron Man 3, Captain America 2, Thor 2 so on and so forth. You'll see.... YOU'LL ALL SEE!!!

@MercWithaMouth2385: Kevin Feige and Joss Whedon have repeatedly said there are no Skrulls nor are there Kree in this movie. They are hinting that they are either something from the Asgardian realms (e.g. trolls) or something from another dimension (e.g. annihilation wave).

@MercWithaMouth2385: I hope your right dude because the Skrulls would be awesome and so would the Kree. But, alas i fear your mistaken, Ive heard the director state its nut the skrulls according to IGN but still i want it to be true. These guys are probably people from the Asgard realms.

Everyone was debating whether tthose things they're fighting were Skrulls or something from Asgard, but they look a lot like the Kree to me. I remember they're being talk of Captain Mar-Vel in the Avengers movie, which was dismissed as rumor. But from the looks of the trailer, those are the Kree and Mar-vel may be involved(or at least cameo)

That's exactly what I've been trying to tell people! The Marvel movie-verse isn't completely based on 616 or Ultimate it's a combination of the best aspects of both.
