Plot Summary

The Avengers journey to search for the missing Eternals' city of Olympia and find more than ther bargained for.

The Avengers stare into a smoking crater where Olympia used to be. Sersi tries to use her powers to locate where her fellow Eternals may have gone, but is unable to sense any of them. The Avengers are all concerned, especially since their teammate, the Eternal Gilgamesh, appears to be mortally wounded, which shouldn't be possible for an Eternal. After some rest, Sersi reveals that she has sensed that Olympia has not been destroyed, but was moved to another dimension. Thor uses his mystic hammer, Mjolnir, to pierce the barrier between dimensions to reveal where Olympia has been taken to, the Negative Zone.

Meanwhile, elsewhere... a Professor Harker is making a deal with representatives of Polydyne to get financing for a project that could provide more power than the world has ever seen.

We then find Hawkeye and Mockingbird running the recently formed Great Lakes Avengers through a training exercise when Mister Immortal is accidentally knocked into Doorman, whose body absorbs him briefly before Dinah Soar flies in to retrieve the terrified hero. Hawkeye resolves to do a lot of tests to learn more about Doorman's powers.

We return to find the Avengers in a Quinjet, arriving at an Olympia that looks like it has been the site of a great battle. Finding the city deserted, they spit into teams in order to find the missing Eternals.

Captain America and Namor reminisce about World War Two and the team they were both a part of at that time, the Invaders when they are ambushed by some kind of energy blast.

She-Hulk and Sersi travel to the High Tower of Olympia, the Eternals holiest place in the city to find it doesn't open for Sersi as it should. She-Hulk instead powers the door open to reveal a sight that the Hall has been destroyed for the first time ever. Both are caught off guard by an explosion that sends She-Hulk plummeting to the ground far below.

Thor hears a thunder-like sound twice and rushes to the nearest one to find Sersi not only unconscious, but fading out of existence altogether. As he tries to help her, Thor is blasted from behind and turns to find the culprit, Blastaar the Destroyer!
