    When Captain America holds an open call for Avengers applicants, the mansion is swarmed by X-Men, former members, anti-heroes, and a cat-woman named Tigra.

    Captain America declares that the Avengers must cut their active roster to six! Who will stay and who will go? Moondragon thinks she has the answers and summons several heroes to Avengers Mansion to try out! After Earth's Mightiest Heroes get rid of Moondragon and her condescending attitude, the team gets down to business. Surprisingly four long-time members decide to leave and pursue new lives in the outside world. But a new recruit, Tigra, elects to join.

    • This issue was a significant milestone for the Avengers title as the Beast, Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, and Vision depart after having been primary members for 75, 60, 136, and 154 issues, respectively.
