Let's go meet the easter Bunny
An paranoid Midnighter tells The Authority that Jenny never sent Lobo back to his dimension and that it’s their responsibility to do so. Jenny tells them that she found the Easter Bunny Land during her ‘wandering the Bleed’ and states that Lobo belongs there. They go there and encounter the Easter Bunny - who’s an Nazi - and act as representatives of Lobo to retrieve his payment for the assassination of Santa Claus. In reality, they’re attempting to destroy all the fortune and weapons the Easter Bunny has so they can bring Lobo into his dimension for his money, which they executed. An hulked Lobo then destroy the city and tortures the Easter Bunny for his money before The Authority could return to their dimension using Door.
Review:
This wasn’t my favorite story mainly because of this wacky Easter Bunny plot (even though it’s how it all started) and how gimmicky the outcome went. None the less, it’s a spoof story so there’s no reason to take it seriously. The art style is more or less still the same (though I‘ve gotten used to it, it would‘ve been better). One of the things I’ve notice is that Midnighter looks more like batman somewhat; he has a cape, but isn’t wearing any spandex/clothing but his underwear - plus a nipple ring - 0_0 Even though I would’ve liked to see another fight between Lobo and The Authority, I’m glad I was able to finish this story to the end… Just don’t expect a “happy, happy ending”
Positives: Lobo at his best, good humor with charcters, good writing
Negatives: THE ART NEEDS WORK, cliche way to end this Arc but I'm glad it's done.
