    Excellent writing is front and centre of this modern tale of classic monsters. Characters are dynamic, full of depth, and make a lot of sense in just about every situation they're faced with. Humanity is put to the test as a boon in power causes ordinary situations of just about every kind go askew. Yes, there's action, excellent storyboarding (directing), and jaw-dropping brilliantly composed frames, and a fair bit of gore as a result without appealing to those gratuitously seeking it.
