MJ and Peter continue their one on one talk to discuss what happened on the day they were supposed to get married.

    The Good

I never thought that a single issue of two people sitting around talking about their past relationship would ever be interesting, let alone a whole storyline of it. One Moment in Time proves me 100% wrong. The story is engrossing, even though there is no action within the book. It's great to see this story play out as two people try to right their wrongs. My favorite thing about this issue, and story arc, is the difference in art styles. When MJ and Peter are sitting in the apartment going over things, there's a very contemporary art style; however, when they go back to discuss the actual event, we have an earlier art style: Flatter colors, heavier lines. This book is mainly dialogue, but really good, compelling dialogue, so don't let the amount of word bubbles in here scare you away. It's all incredibly great stuff.

    The Bad

Now, I'm not a religious follower of the book, but I do know Mephisto wiped a whole bunch of things clean during One More Day, including when he revealed himself to the entire world. If that's so, how come that event is mentioned in this book? Aside from that, I really didn't care for the Spidey Sundays back-up. It's a little too light hearted to be smash together with the O.M.I.T. story, which so far, is a huge downer.

    The Verdict 4/5

Surprisingly enough, this has been a great storyline so far. As much as I don't like to see whole issues of people working out relationship problems because I'd rather see heroes fighting villains, this issue works. For me, it's more than just a great story, with the added bonus of some fantastic looking artwork. I'd highly recommend this issue to anyone that's ever been a Spider-Fan. To everyone else, pick up issue 638 AND 639 to see what I'm talking about.

So far I think this really shuts up the people talking about One More Day, the stories we have got from it have been worth it. The dynamic between these two characters is more intense and better all around compared to when it was just bored. Do I want Peter and MJ to end up together? Not sure but it is a crazy ride.

The were some very good stories that came out of OMD (American Son, Grim Hunt). However, OMIT is not one of them.

It's going to take a lot more than a few issues of "I messed up, but I won't ever admit it" comics from that Jerk to do this right. I had to read years of garbage(except one or two stories) just for Big Joey to go "Yep, they're still pissed... I'll pretend to care by making this."

Not starting another OMD flame war, mind you. Just pointing it out that this changes very little for me.

I think this issue is a great breather after all the doom, gloom and intensity of the past few months for Spidey. The Gauntlet and Grim Hunt were both epic, but OMIT is a great break after all that action

I disagree. The fact that Peter sees Aunt May die just for him to do CPR for her to be resucitated seemed way too convenient. Waste of $4 in my perspective.

I'm still hoping this new arc will clear all of Joe Quesada's mess!

This arc will do nothing but continue the garbage that has been shoveled into comic shops since two years ago. And, I'm sorry, but no. This is not a good story. the first issue was terrible, and this ones no better. The art, although great, is weighed down heavy by a terrible story, idea, and mess.

I don't really understand what you are trying to say especially with your original comment...

    @bingbangboom:

So you are justifying two or three good story lines compared to the 20 other garbage ones we had to read the past few years? Read the last 100 issues before OMD and compare them to 100 issues after.

I was reading Spider-Man before and after One More Day. I would have figured people would have got over it by now. It happened, it is comics. Things happen, thats what they do. It's like complaining now if a character dies. The marriage was stale and sorry it was not real so what does it matter anyway? Him being Spider-Man is not depended on whom he is with or if he is married. It isn't like Mr. Fantastic not being with Sue where the core is the family. I think most would agree that the past few stories have been excellent especially Grim Hunt. I would really put it up against some of the other stories from  the 100 comics before OMD like The Other and the one where Gwen Stacy had sex with the Green Goblin... yeah... that one too.

Just enjoy the ride, if OMIT or Spider-Man is not for you then read something else like Marvel Adventures Spider-Man or Ultimate Spider-Man, both are excellent.

Joe Quesada's method of explaining One More Day/Brand New Day is a horrid failure at best. He cuts up Amazing Spider-Man Annual 21, leaving out all the relevant character points to justify the changes. It doesn't make the Spidey-verse right again, no matter the relevance to current story lines.

I guess we needed this explanation and if you are a long time spidey reader like me this story is probably a bit better than if you haven't read it all. I just think this could have been done a lot better had it included a story where Spider-Man saves MJ from some threat and then them sorting their problems out afterwards.

Also, I really hate the way Quesada draws Peter and MJ. They look awful and I guess MJ can't be a model any more looking like that. On the other hand Rivera’s art, where we go back in time, looks really good and I wish he had drawn the whole issue.
