This is basically a thread for people who hated The Amazing Spider-Man movie. I hated it and thought it was an insult to the name Spider-Man. I know a lot of people liked it. That's fine. But there are people who realize how horrible it is.

If you liked it, and you want to argue that is was a good film.....DON'T. Not what this thread is for.

I never saw it, but people were telling me it was better than Avengers. I really couldn't accept that.

It's nowhere near as good as The Avengers. That's just ridiculous. It was better than Batman & Robin, but I'd rather watch B&R.

That was my original thoughts, but as time went on I just became more and more frustrated and angered by it.

While Schumacher was bad, I don't feel he deserves as much hate as he gets. I feel the studio had more to do with it sucking than Schumacher did.

I don't remember Superman IV that well, so I won;t say it's better or worse than ASM. But I have no clue what made it so bad. Was a bad script and plot, but I don't know what created it.

@TheCannon: It was rather boring, and had horrible fight scenes. (That were in slow motion.)

Being a huge fan of Christopher Reeve's Superman, however, I still liked it.

@logy5000: Yeah. I have seen the Nuclear Man fight on youtube last week, and it was bad. I remember other horrible stuff, but I don't remember it exactly.

Gwen should be all pissed off and reveal his secret identity to the world.

That is part of what I hated.

Did not hate it. Just didn't like it like I wish I would have. Flash and Peter being all buddy, buddy after earlier having Flash beat his ass. Plus dude was too small to be Flash. Why was Peter so cool? Never once felt like he was an uncool outcast. Whatever happened to his Chase for Uncle Ben's killer? How could Gwen be so cool after her dad dies? Too many questions. And they might ruin Rhino...oh maaaaan.

Oh and what? He's Wolverine now. He got shot and they never bring it up after that.

I don't understand why you'd want to waste your time talking about something you hate.

Life is too short.

Hulk didn't HATE it, but Hulk was not very excited to see it. Hulk saw it, Hulk thought it was good, but not Amazing (pun intended),

One of Hulk's problems with film is that it was too sad and depressing. Seriously, Mark Webb, you not directing Titanic you directing f***ing Spiderman. Lighten up.

Sam Raimi knew when to be sad and when to be exciting, if only Marc Webb knew too.

It was pretty good. The Raimi Spider-Man movies glossed right over Peters high school years.....he was only in school in the beginning of the first movie pretty much because its a pretty big part of his origin. They also modernized the origin a bit. I honestly preferred this as Raimis movies would have been stale by now

This movie wasn't as bad as you guys make it out to be. It was the "Ultimate Spider-Man" of the movies. Meaning that it meant to modernize Peter. It drew a lot from the Ultimate Spider-Man books (which, IMO, is the best iteration of Peter in the books). It provided Peter with the necessary action to prove his genius. The costume proved he wasn't rich and needed to make a makeshift one. Peter also was characteristically smartass like. Even when fighting Connors, he had that quality, though he was more serious since it was someone he knew. This captured his characterization perfectly. Far better than Raimi's films. Action needs a little work though.

My thoughts were: Well... I hated the last Spider-Man. So I'm GLAD they made a reboot because Maguire in my opinion was just too geeky and a poor choice for Spider-Man. I heard someone once say Maguire made a good Peter Parker and a bad Spider-Man, I agree with that. But this new Spider-Man (Garfield), is better but not perfect. He's just too... I don't now, he just reminds me too much of a little kid. Tries too hard to be cute.
