Mary Jane and Aunt May are still in the sights of the sniper. It appears that they are the secondary targets. Peter calls MJ as he is about to go off on what may be the final battle.
The world watches as heroes fight against heroes. Even in Ryker's Island prison, Wilson Fisk listens and keeps in touch with his sniper. His orders are, if Spider-Man survives, he is to be killed when he returns to the motel. If he dies in battle, then he wants MJ and Aunt May killed.
The battle is over. Now is time to pick up the pieces. Peter returns to the motel. The sniper is alerted. Peter's spider-senses begin to go off but he cannot pinpoint the danger. As the trigger is pulled, he grabs Mary Jane and dives for the floor. Unfortunately, there is a victim to the gunshot...
